About Me
Beginning therapy may feel intimidating and overwhelming, but the therapy process provides you an opportunity to focus on your life and whatever is preventing you from enjoying it to the fullest. I view therapy as a unique, collaborative process that unfolds naturally between a client and myself. I offer warm and supportive counseling for adults and adolescents dealing with difficult life situations or seeking personal growth. This may include finding meaning in one's life, prioritizing goals, feeling overwhelmed with day to day responsibilities and obligations, parenting concerns, relationship issues, peer pressure, depression, anxiety, trauma, coping with grief and loss, or any combination of these. I will also encourage you to explore "what you want out of your life." I will assist you in identifying and making small personal changes in order to increase your sense of self, well-being, and connection to others. I am here to support you throughout this challenging process. Additionally, I counsel people affected by short-term or chronic illness. I work with individuals personally dealing with an illness, their caretakers, family and friends. You may face many new challenges if you are affected by an illness. You may question Your sense of self and struggle to make meaning out of your circumstances. You may experience feelings of isolation, alienation, depression, and anxiety. Therapy can help you to work through the psychological aspects of illness and enable you to create effective and healthy ways of coping.
