About Me

In my work I lead clients towards self acceptance, helping them connect more deeply with themselves and others. I assist them towards positive self expression, self empowerment and accomplishment of their goals.

I have been practicing somatic psychotherapy since 1987 working with individuals and couples. I integrate Object Relations, Control Mastery, Somatic Experiencing and other theories for trauma resolution and attachment issues. I specialize in and have been very successful at treating anxiety disorders, childhood abuse and neglect, domestic violence, relationship issues, and addictions.

Through use of somatic methods, I have been very successful at helping people process through deeply held emotions. These emotions are usually at the heart of unresolved issues that keep people stuck. Doing this work with couples is particularly helpful in facilitating couples to establish or re-establish the attachment bond which has often been disrupted. Healing this disruption is, for the most part, what enables couples to resolve their issues. For individuals, they become unstuck, facilitating better relationships with themselves and others so that they can move forward in their lives.

For three years I was the Clinical Director at Woman, Inc., an agency specializing in domestic violence, where I supervised and trained MFT interns, staff and volunteers. I have an extensive background in authentic movement and bodywork (CMT).
